In the Potter’s Hands

Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable.”2 Timothy 2:20 (ESV) What in your life is pressuring you like a Potter’s molding hand? Our God is a God of excellence and power such that nothing that derives out of Him can be weak, fruitless, condemned, with faults, disproportionate, or simply incomplete. Time after time we say that we are sons of the Potter, but we forget that the Potter is the one who does the finishing work. It doesn’t matter if the clay can be used later in a museum or common use. The Potter is the one who decides the form He gives depending on the final use. In other words, the finished work and design is in accordance with purpose. “Every thing that we see was designed for something or someone. Not only that but it was designed for the purpose for which it was created.
